Monthly Book Haul | June 2017

Another month has passed (I can’t believe that we are now over halfway through the year) and I’ve been really bad with the Amazon one click this month.  I really didn’t mean to buy all these Kindle books but they were nearly all on the wishlist (apart from those that I spotted and thought “oooh I don’t have that one in the series..” and…well when some others have been reduced in price you can’t refuse!   The only good thing is that they are not taking up any shelf space!  I don’t have any book event pics to share for June, I did have a couple of invites in the diary but unfortunately I was unable to go at the last minute.

I’m starting off this month’s haul post with the Kindle purchases.

Paper Books received for review/won:

(The title isn’t visible but the second book from the top left, is Friend Request by Laura Marshall, a Goodreads giveaway win).  Friends and Liars was also a win from Goodreads.

(For more information about the book, you can click on the title)

Friends and Liars – Kaela Coble (Corvus)

Friend Request – Laura Marshall (Sphere)

Together – Julie Cohen (Orion)

This Beautiful Life – Katie Marsh (Hodder & Stoughton)

Summer at Hope Meadows – Lucy Daniels (Hodder & Stoughton)

The French Secret – Anita Ward (received from author)

The House – Simon Lelic (Penguin)

The Unquiet Dead (Detective Esa Khattak and Rachel Getty Mysteries) – Ausma Zehanat Khan (No Exit Press)

The Other Twin – L V Hay (Orenda)

I have been trying so hard not to request on Netgalley for some time but totally failed this month, especially when the publisher sends you an invitation widget.  In my defence some of these are for blog tours (so they don’t count, right?)

Another Woman’s Husband – Gill Paul (Headline Review)

Brothers & Sisters – Adele O’Neill (Aria)

Last Seen Alive – Claire Douglas (Penguin)

The Upstairs Room – Kate Murray-Browne (Picador)

The Vanishing of Audrey Wilde – Eve Chase (Penguin)

The Woman in the Wood – Lesley Pearse (Penguin)

My blog is taking a holiday at the end of July for about a month so I will do a catch up post at the end of August. Have a wonderful summer and happy reading everyone. Do let me know if you’ve read any of these and what you thought.

  • Fantastic book haul Karen and I’m pleased to note you have as much restraint as me – I was also tempted by several of your Kindle purchases. Enjoy your break and Happy Reading!i

    • Thanks Jill, I have no willpower at all – and heaven knows when I will find time to read all of them but the nice thing is having the choice of reading in my own private library!

  • I will forgive you the delay in posting this as I didn’t expect you to do it all a second time ?.

Fabulous haul! I’ve read quite a few of them. Some great, some a bit meh. It happens.

Aw, I’m going to miss you when you’re off on your holidays. By the time you’re back, it’ll be my turn. I may end up with awful withdrawal symptoms ?

    • Haha, Happy Holidays to you too. I’ve been told by OH that I’m banned from using the wi-fi on holiday so Amazon will be losing my custom for a while – I’m sure they will survive! 🙂

I do love to read any comments 😊
