A young mother is fighting for her life after falling from her third-floor balcony, and police question the last people to see her alive, her three best friends who, an hour earlier were celebrating her birthday at her flat. But as the investigation develops, so does the network of suspects. With the victim’s husband front and centre of the case, the focus widens to his contacts and associates, revealing a chilling connection not only with the crime in question, but with those in charge of preventing it. Forced to work alongside her arch-nemesis from the past, DCI Matt Preedy, DS Ronnie Delmar finds herself trying to untie the complex knots of the case, while simultaneously looking over her shoulder at her own colleagues and questioning the motives of those she thought she trusted.
Police procedural meets psychological thriller – this is the third in the DS Ronnie Delmar series and is set against the backdrop of contemporary policing, in particular the post-Everard scandal of misogyny and misbehaviour in the force.
My thanks to Anne Cater of Random Things Tours for the place on the tour. For my turn today, it’s a pleasure to offer a giveaway. Not just for the latest book, Last to Leave but for the full set of 3 paperback books in the series, signed by the author. The previous two books are Stop at Nothing (#1) and The Choice (#2). These are all part of the DS Ronnie Delmar series.
Sorry but this is open to UK entrants only.
Last to Leave was published on 30 November 2023.

a Rafflecopter giveawayLucy Martin grew up in London and Brussels and after gaining a first-class degree at Oxford in French and Russian became a lawyer working mainly in central Asia, before retraining as a languages teacher and eventually settling into a less frenetic life of French tutor and thriller writer. She wrote a series of language revision guides before turning to fiction and realising her dream of getting published. She has written four novels including Stop at Nothing and The Choice, which are the first and second in the DS Ronnie Delmar trilogy leading up to Last to Leave, and published by Welbeck. The thread running through the three books comes through loud and clear in Ronnie’s character – an uncompromising quest for justice alongside a fierce commitment to female victims of crime. Like her creator, she’s not afraid to push a few boundaries, take risks and break the rules, not always with the result she imagines…

Is it too late to add these books to my Christmas list?! I love crime fiction but I’ve never come across this author before and I’m wondering why that is! These books sound right up my street and the covers are very appealing too. It’s definitely a series I’d love to read.
Never too late Lisa!😁 Lucy is a new to me author too and these look just my type of read. Good luck.
